It is natural to have it. How cool, clean, and always enough. However, in the context of World Water Day, it is good to remember that water supplies are running low and we have a duty to pay attention to wastage.

The Earth is not accidentally called a blue planet. It is covered with two-thirds of its water, almost 97 percent of it is frozen, 2 percent of it is frozen fresh water, and only 1 percent can be used for drinking and watering. And while supplies are relatively stable, water consumption is increasing. The highest water consumption (70 percent) is made by casting. Households' average consumption is below 10 percent and industry's consumption is around 20 percent.
Water supplies are in danger
Europe's water supplies are in grave danger, partly due to excessive water use and partly to pollution, the WWF said in a published report. Looking ahead, the prospects are not overwhelming, since spillover and climate change are likely to make the distribution of stocks even more uneven. In addition, the demands for economic development will continue to increase. It is very rich in Hungarian waters, but a significant part of the water comes into the rivers from abroad, only a tiny part of it falls in the form of precipitation in the territory of the country, so it is especially important to think about water.

Choose this at home!

The answer is self-evident: to reduce water consumption, eliminate wastage. This requires serious economic and political decisions, but requires a degree of determination on the one hand. With a little attention, you can save a lot of water and, of course, money.
  • When brushing or shaving, water should only flow when you are using it. So this operation requires 2 liters of water, otherwise up to 15-20 liters.

  • With one flush, the toilet puts 10 liters of water into the sewage. Find a solution where you can control the amount of flush water yourself (with a tap, push button). If the tank is clean, you only use 4-8 liters for this purpose.

  • One minute shower consumes 70-80 liters of water. If water is not drained when you soap, you will save a lot. We call this sailboat.

  • The bath requires 140 liters of water. However, for a lowly family - if everyone bathes in the water - it is wiser to choose it.

  • Install the pins so that they do not drip. If you drop 10 drops every minute, you lose 170 liters of water a month, and 2000 liters of water a year.

  • At the ends of the taps, install an aerator tap and shower head. They deliver air to the water and also use less water.

  • With traditional cold and hot water taps, a lot of water flows out and you set the hot water. A single lever mixer is a better solution.

  • Depending on the type, the washing machine uses an average of 115 liters of water. Therefore, do not start with half a portion, but wait until it is full.

  • When washing, rinse with plenty of water and rinse the dishes in flowing water.

  • When buying new machines (washing machines or dishwashers), you choose energy and water savings.

  • Collect rainwater in the garden and water it.

The baby is interested

The birth of a child is a horseman. Not only to reorganize, but also to re-think your life. Will he retain all that you have? And this is not just an economic aspect, but a conscious choice for the future.
How are you?
Of course, you want the best for her, but don't go hot! You don't have to flush your corner bath every night, and there's plenty of water in the baby's bath to wash your little one.
Baby bathing water can be good for water. Put a little detergent in it and sink your laundry.
What to drink?
Breast milk contains 88 percent water, so you can control your baby's water and nutrition, and there's no need for any extra fluids. Later, when the feed begins, the baby will be boiled and cooled with water. And because of the good quality of tap water in our country, you can drink it sooner.
Playful festival
On World Water Day, March 22, 2011, Provision for the Water Festival is celebrating over a hundred to 12 years of elementary schooling for the programs of Kékkъti Bvvnyvnyv.
- Learners learn more about nature, water, through interactive tasks.
- Several will be preparing a local history timeline to introduce and learn about water birth.
- Play blocks to track the movement of water within the circulatory system. We draw a circle on a large piece of paper and color it out to see how much water we have in our body.
- Children determine and account for the freshwater and drinking supplies available to the Earth, which may also mean that our supplies are limited and need protection.
- And at the end of the day, they gather their own water-related messages and put them together for future generations.
